Children First staff members are trained in the Parents As Teachers (PAT) curriculum. PAT is an evidence-based program and like Children First believes all children will learn, grow and develop to realize their full potential. This curriculum aids staff as they support families with parenting and child development information.

Shaken Baby Syndrome Training is an opportunity for DeKalb County parent groups, school groups, and community groups to gain knowledge that will help keep babies and young children safe. The training will also help participants understand why babies and young children cry, the disastrous effect of shaking, and share tips and techniques for crying babies.
